Real-time data protection is one of the many patented technologies of Star Softcomm. It monitors and protects documents and data changes, replicate every byte of data to a secured area, achieving source data and protected data synchronization. The data from the secured area is complete and updated to the latest moment, even if the source data is completely destroyed in a disaster.

Flexible protection policy. System is able to auto-recognize common document format like Office documents, electronic mails and database files. These documents are included as default protected files. User can use configuration wizard to include additional documents for protection based on actual requirements.

Fully automated real-time protection. Automatically monitor changes of data being protected is a unique feature of the system. Data is immediately replicated to the secured area whenever changes are made and the whole process is fully automated without user intervention. In addition, data changes only affects small volume with the operation using very little system resources and hardly noticeable to users in normal operations.

Support multiple backup target media. Data backed up can be stored in different target media within different environment. E.g. local disk protected area, USB storage device, or backup server of network, even remote storage area provided through Internet.

Completeness of restored data. User can quickly restore protected data after disaster strike. The restored data is exactly the same as the source data at the stage of latest moment without any loss.
