Remote Control is part of StarSoftComm's Remote PC Management and Maintenance system core feature. It is a highly reliable, flexible and secured remote support system. Remote control alloes PC OEM technical support staff or IT personnel, through Windows or web browser, to remotely access, control, browse, manage or update a remote PC as if he is physically present. This significantly increases efficiency, simplifies the support process and improves service quality.

Remote Control can be deployed as an independent solution or integrated with other solution to facilitate remote capability, under which, support personnel are empowered, with permission from user, to remotely visit user desktop to provide assistance in solving problems. Solving problems remotely improves respond time, increases efficiency and reduces support costs.

Technology highlight

Remote client module is pre-installed on PCs of OEMs who adopt StarSoftComm's remote maintenance solution. Client agent of Remote control is also being integrated and pre-installed on Corporate PC models.

Tunnel through firewall. Remote control allows support engineer control and assists any PC connected to Internet including PCs connected to corporate LAN and broadband users behind firewall.

Support duplex chat and file transfer. Chat feature is available as a communication channel between support engineer and end user to assist in problem solving. File transfer feature allows transferring of any tools to end user's PC when necessary.

Privacy protection and process log. Remote control uses patent pending technology to protect user's privacy and security during the remote assist operation. Support engineer will not be able to access user's data, email and any documents unrelated to problem solving, ensuring user's privacy and data security. A complete process log is kept in the central database for future audit and reference.
