Asset management is an integrated part of StarSoftcomm's remote management and maintenance system platform that provides complete and efficient solution for Corporations to manage IT resources. Its features include automated detection and compilation of hardware and software list, real-time tracking of IT asset changes and comprehensive reporting. Asset Management module is an effective and simple tool for IT Management department to manage, maintain and track IT asset changes, optimize IT infra-structure and reduce IT management and support costs.

Function description

Asset management does not require complex installation and configuration process. It can auto detect and compile complete asset lists of Corporate IT environment and store in a central database. This central database provides support for other solutions like Software Distribution, OS Distribution, Remote Control, Application Software Audit and Control. Asset Management has following features:


Auto Asset Detection
Once the client program is installed, PC's hardware and software is auto detected and forwarded to the central database, allowing IT personnel to browse anytime. This central hardware and software database for each PC forms the basis of asset management.


Real-time Tracking and Update
Any hardware and software changes in client PC, for example install or uninstall software, changes in hardware, all new data is reported and reflected in the central database, ensuring the accuracy and up-to-date-ness of recording.

Asset Changes Alert
When abnormal hardware and software changes occur in client PC, the control panel of server will be alerted immediately allowing IT personnel to scrutinize detail changes and take timely actions to protect corporate asset, if necessary.


Flexible and configurable reporting system
In addition to predefined, ready-to-use standard reports, IT personnel can customize reports to meet actual corporate environment and requirements.
