StarCenter is a pre-installed self-maintenance dual-system platform that empowers end users self-diagnostic and self-maintenance; increases PC manageability and ease of maintenance, as such reduces OEMs support costs and increases support efficiency.In addition to satisfying different levels of support requirements, including protection for application software and system operation and critical data protection and restore, the platform also establishes the fundamentals in providing a proper and stable environment to facilitate corporate network management and remote PC maintenance services.

Function description

StarCenter employs an OS independent startup process, provides total PC protections and maintenance from aspects of hardware, OS, hardware driver, application software and data files to ensure an optimized operational environment. StarCenter features protection and maintenance functions as follows:

Intelligent installation: Including fully automated OS installation, intelligent hardware driver installation, and bundled software installation that establishes proper initial operation environment as the foundation for future diagnostic, repair and restore activities.

Real time total user data protection: In addition to providing user selectable data type for real time protection, also backs up system configuration and (including: network configuration, IE configuration, email account configuration etc) hardware driver information etc. All backup information is stored in StarCenter patent pending hidden partition (HPA) that is not accessible to users and other application software, where preservation of customized configurations are completely secured.

Intelligent diagnostic and repair: Provides intelligent system diagnostic and repair, including hardware driver diagnostic and repair, install, uninstall and repair of IE and bundled application software, and repair of various system configurations.

Restore function with data protection capability: Provides complete and temporary backup of OS that facilitates easy restoration after system crash, including user data and system configurations.
